About the Instructor
Marisa Wolfe is an E-RYT Kripalu Yoga Teacher and a Licensed Massage Therapist (NM LMT#5949), NMRTMI and NCBTMB Continuing Ed Provider. Teaching since 2004, her Kripalu-based approach is infused with influences from the Pranakriya, Viniyoga and Yin Yoga traditions. She holds advanced certification in Thai Yoga Massage, and leads workshops around the U.S. and semester-long courses at her local university to train others in this traditional healing art. Marisa also leads domestic and international retreats that promote relaxation, exploration and discovery.
Marisa’s varied endeavors are unified by her passion for the physical form and her understanding of functional anatomy. Her professional offerings are all based in her own personal practice and self-study, and her commitment to self-inquiry as a means to personal empowerment. She champions curiosity, observation and direct experience, and knows these endow us with the ability to create intentional change. She guides students and clients into fuller sensual awareness of themselves so they might find more ease in body and mind, personal accountability for the way they feel, and the ability to consciously choose to feel good. By bringing consciousness to breath, movement and stillness, Marisa fosters trust for the body’s innate ability to heal and find balance, and receptivity to the guiding compass of the soul.
