Prerequisites: Thai Massage 3 Day Intensive and Thai Massage Weekend Immersion. Have you taken both modules of Living Sabai‰Ûªs Thai classes and hungry for more great Thai techniques? If so this is the class you have been waiting for! Take an advanced Thai course without having to travel to Thailand. This class is 100% hands on, no lecture or power point presentation. We will dive right in to some of the juiciest and most effective Thai Massage techniques. You will observe and trade several advanced sequences and then have time for free practice to learn how incorporate this new material into your current repertoire of Thai massage. You will also receive a manual to take home.

About the Instructor

Jill Burynski is an internationally recognized teacher of Thai massage and has trained massage therapists nationwide and in Thailand. Logging 6 stints in Thailand, she is a graduate of the Old Medicine Hospital and ITM in Chiang Mai and has also studied under Pichest Boonthume. Jill Burynski is an Approved Provider of Continuing Education for NCBTMB 451012-09 and Florida Department of Health 50-11155.

Thai Massage

Thai massage works the relaxing effects of massage, the stretching of yoga, and the spiritual wellness of energy work into one session. The modality is more physically dynamic than a typical massage. Sessions are performed on a floor mat with the client fully clothed. The practitioner helps the client through yoga-based, assisted stretches while pressing on energy and pressure points along the body. Because of it’s similarity to yoga, some people refer to Thai massage as “Thai yoga massage” as well.

Along with teaching the modality as a whole, Thai massage training can teach you how to improve your flow with better sequencing, incorporate the classic Thai herbal balls or start using your bare feet as tools. You can also learn how to adapt Thai techniques for table massage or work with special circumstances like pregnancy and disabilities.
