Learn how to safely assist forward and back bending along with a variety of twists and stretches from all positions using your own body, pillows and props. Practice joint mobilization and breathing exercises for yourself and with a partner Identify related cultural practices and learn theoretical concepts that can be used to enhance results. This course offers a variety of assisted stretch techniques that can be incorporated into your current Thai massage practice on the mat. At the end of this class you will be able to demonstrate a logical sequence of warm-up techniques and stretches with client in supine, prone, sidelying and seated positions. With some practice outside of class you will soon be ready to offer this Thai massage treatment on your menu of services. This course is suitable for all levels, including beginners who are interested in the assisted yoga aspect of Thai massage.
