Event Description

Develop and expand your skills to new levels of effectiveness, energy and ease with Ortho-Bionomy® hands-on trainings. Techniques are easy on the practitioner and client; spare your hands and back. What Is Ortho-Bionomy®?
~ Soft touch, deep relief, results that last ~

Ortho-Bionomy® is a highly effective and comprehensive system of natural healing that has its roots in Osteopathy and Martial Arts. It is a gentle process of neuromuscular re-education that increases physical and personal awareness in the process of restoring balance, working on all levels of body, mind and spirit. This deep, gentle work relieves pain and restores natural alignment, function and balance with more ease, immediacy and lasting effectiveness than you might have thought possible, even when other bodywork modalities have ceased to be effective.

Why is Ortho-Bionomy® so effective?
~ Change and well-being come from deep within ~

Ortho-Bionomy® goes well beyond massage and other bodywork modalities because it is not done “to” anyone, rather it works “with” you and with your body’s innate intelligence via the nervous system, similar to craniosacral therapy. All healing is self-healing that happens within the body. The body is self-organizing (could you tell yourself how to walk?), self-regulating (could you command your stomach to start digesting, stop digesting?) and self-healing. Often, students find relief for their own chronic issues, while doing lab work during the course.

About the Series:
In Ortho-Bionomy® Alignment (Phases 1-4) courses, participants learn the principles, essential elements and techniques that engage an internal self-corrective process, releasing restrictions and pain – in joints, muscles and fascia – naturally restoring alignment and balance. The work also promotes deep, restorative relaxation and stress relief, so important to health and quality of life. Techniques integrate well with other modalities and can easily be incorporated into any client’s treatment plan.

Therapeutic Massage

In terms of continuing education, therapeutic massage is a catch-all term for any massage technique that does not fall under a broad modality. Courses in this area are often geared toward improving your overall massage sessions or teaching lesser-known modalities. You can pick up new techniques, learn to use new tools or take foundation courses in new modalities.

Practical anatomy lessons and treatment protocols for specific muscle groups, conditions, and areas of the body are the most common therapeutic massage CE courses. Interesting approaches like two massage therapists working in tandem and integrative massage, combining multiple modalities in a single session, are also taught. You may be able to find courses in resort massage and branded modalities as well.
