Event Description

Deepfeet Sarga Silks is a 2-day course that teaches students how to properly install and utilize the Sarga floor system.
Techniques taught are western focused and combine a variety of DeepFeet ashiatsu strokes to deliver an effective and
therapeutic barefoot massage floor treatment. The course includes both posterior and anterior protocols so that upon
completion the body-worker will be able to deliver a 60-90 minute detailed supine and prone Sarga Silks session. DeepFeet
Sarga Silks is ideal for mobile therapists, therapists that cannot install overhead bars or anyone seeking NEW barefoot
methods to enhance your practice.

Ashiatsu DeepFeet Bar Therapy

About the Instructor

Having been a Massage Therapist since 2008 and opening my own business in 2013, I finally had the freedom to explore new and creative modalities. I found Ashiatsu that same year and signed up as soon as I could, the first class I knew this was going to do so many amazing things for my career and business including the longevity of both. That first class I was asking about teaching and am so excited to be a part of Deepfeet Bar Therapy as a Certified Deepfeet Therapist as well as an Instructor. These classes offer more than just a career booster and education, they off a community of therapists that can laugh together, learn together and connect together. I look forward to meeting you and introducing you to the amazing world of barefoot massage!

Ashiatsu Massage

Few deep tissue techniques can work deeper than ashiatsu massage, a type of massage that uses the practitioner’s feet as well as hands, fingers and elbows to apply pressure. A typical ashiatsu setup includes both a massage table and ceiling-mounted bars that allow the practitioner to stay steady while standing on the table and applying targeted pressure with bare feet. It is an ideal way for massage therapists to reduce hand strain, and it can be performed with the client clothed.

Because ashiatsu is founded on traditional Chinese medicine, many ashiatsu massage trainings will cover energy meridians and mind-body balance, but not all courses take this approach. Some focus only on proper technique, safety and building your own strength and balance for better sessions.
