This class will give you an electrical and new perspective on the Body/Mind Connection. In the first part of this class, you will learn the very basics of how to listen in to the body with your hands to perceive lesion chains or lines of tension, which actually create the pain we feel in our bodies. In the second part of this class, you will learn to palpate and “hear” the subtle electrical signals conducted from the brain (which is your hard drive), to the individual organs in the body, thus, helping to increase, re-synchronize, and reconnect any signals that may have been lost, aberrant or disconnected.
Students of all bodywork backgrounds will be able to walk away from this course with a new, fresh, and more specific understanding of how the body is interconnected and will be able to utilize these new skills immediately to dive deeper into their current practices. CEU’s: 16 for AZ State Licensing 14 for NCBTMB.
Nina Joy Rizzo
About the Instructor
Reverend Nina Joy Rizzo, is a Registered Practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy®, Integrated Energy Therapy and LMT has been in practice since 1989.
In 1989, Nina Joy landed at Mueller College of Holistic Studies in San Diego, California after having been catapulted from a traumatic personal experience. In search of a way to address her trauma and pushed forward by a strong desire to find ways of healing, for herself and for others, she became committed to bodywork. Her initial training taught her the importance of shifting reactions, developing new perspectives, and recalibrating emotions in order to heal.
Later, what she learned facilitated her understanding of sacred spaces for the continuation of her own healing and recovery, and for her clients who came in search of similar ways and with similar needs. That was just the beginning of her professional career. Since then, Nina has become a Practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy, and is currently in the teacher training program.
She is an Integrated Energy Therapist. She has completed the Upledger CranioSacral Curriculum and is soon to be a Certified CranioSacral Therapist. She is a Barral Institute Visceral Manipulation student, with completion of the core program and is continuing with this curriculum. Nina has found these modalities to be complementary to one another, providing a highly beneficial approach to assisting the body in a Safe, Gentle, and Effective Manner — physically and emotionally.
Most recently, over the past 4 years, Nina has been working side by side with Luc J. Chabot, an Advanced Osteopathic Manual Therapist, and “Hands-On” Medical Intuit. Their work together provides her as an apprentice, continued hands-on learning in greater depth, with each new patient she assists. Along with more than 1000 hours of study in various bodywork modalities and over 800 hours of Ortho-Bionomy studies, Nina Joy also has over 20 years of practical experience.
Nina Joy completes over 100 Continuing Education Hours on a yearly basis. Having come full-circle through her commitment to learning, Nina has become the antidote to pain, injury, and life-long stress as an acutely sensitive practitioner who addresses all the ailments that derive from these conditions.
