Chinese Tuina Massage Therapy

I am an practitioner of Alternative Medicine with 25 years of combined experience in Medical Massage Therapy, Qi Gong instruction, and Holistic and Spiritual Health Coaching.

My interest in Alternative and Holistic Medicine began when I was only 5 years old, living in Colombia watching my grandmother apply natural healing techniques such as Massage Therapy and Herbology to heal the afflictions of friends and family. I have since sought to follow in her footsteps, first by becoming a Medical Massage Therapist, and later by pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Alternative Medicine, Health Coach Certification, and in becoming a Qi Gong practitioner. I dedicate my life to developing individual regimens for my patients to achieve overall health and well being and to share my knowledge with the Massage therapist community

I started my own practice under the name First Choice Massage, Inc. back in 1998. Over time, I recognized that my patients had various and very specific therapeutic needs, so I decided to further my education first by specializing in Myofascial (“Deep Tissue”) and Medical Massage Therapy between 1998-2002.

In 2005, I traveled with my son to Beijing, China to study Tuina Massage while he studied Qi Gong. His experiences during his intensive training inspired me to pursue the study of Qi Gong with the Supreme Science Qi Gong Center under the instruction of Jeff Primack. By early 2008, I had achieved Level 3 Qigong Facilitator certification, the highest level offered by the center. Simultaneously, I had been studying Pranic Healing (“Healing Touch”) under Master Stephen Co, and obtained Pranic Healing accreditation in 2007.

In order to better address the needs of my clients which were not well-tended to with conventional medicine, I decided to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Alternative Medicine through Everglades University in 2008 and graduated in 2012. I also enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2011, and became a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner Health Coach in 2012.
