About the Instructor
As a massage therapist, wellness facilitator, and massage therapy instructor, my practice as well as my teaching style, is based on two principles; one is my belief that there is a mind-body-spirit connection and the other is the medical fact that the human body has its own innate healing capability. Those premises combined with my intention, my extensive knowledge of medical pathologies, my formal education and my instinctual healing techniques, bring a unique and fulfilling experience to each individual session. I focus on educating each student in such a way that they begin to understand how their massage practice can better flourish to create a career that is both fulfilling and diverse.
I’ve been a wellness practitioner for 8 years and a massage instructor for 4 years and have worked in hospitals, day spas, pain management clinics, and destination spa resorts. I immediately knew of my desire to become a massage therapy instructor when I graduated from Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in 2010. I then set out to gather as much knowledge of the many venues this industry can take a therapist so that I might one day bring this experience to my students. I’ve been a massage instructor now for four years and am full-time faculty at Tucson’s Cortiva Institute.
The possibilities for healing are endless!
I look forward to sharing the healing space with you.
